Tithing is a system by which people are required to donate, usually one tenth, of their gross or net income to the church. By doing this many suffer real hardship for themselves and their families, sometimes they are unable to pay the bills which come in, or feed and clothe their family properly. Is this really what God wants from us?

Should a Christian observe this celebration?

Should we encourage or even allow our children to participate in the celebration of Halloween?  After all, what harm is there in them enjoying a ‘trick or treat’ amongst the local neighbours?

Christmas is traditionally a time of festivity, gift-giving and family get-togethers. In the southern hemisphere it is a time for holidaying, taking a break from work and getting refreshed at the beach. It is a time when businesses close, and very few remain open on Christmas Day.

Easter is a celebration that is observed by almost every sector of Christianity, and is a remembrance of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is one of the two most celebrated occasions in the Christian calendar - the other being Christmas.

In the beginning God created sex. The very first chapter of first book of the Bible is a very brief summary of creation, yet it finds room to tell us that when God made the first man and first woman, He commanded them to “be fruitful and multiply”.

Pain and sorrow are everywhere. A child is born deformed. The future of another is only hunger, disease and death. A worthy citizen is cut off in his prime, while another battles on through years of pain. The list is endless.
